A Future Teacher?

Margo Anne and PaPa visited mom at her school today to have lunch and go to recess with the "big kids!" She was quite a hit, especially while displaying her writing skills and artwork on the overhead projector! What do you think...a future teacher???

Clay shows Margo Anne how to ride the 4-wheeler that she got for Christmas! That's our little guy!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Margo Anne!

Well, Margo Anne had her much anticipated third birthday! It was a multi-day celebration beginning on Thursday, her actual birthday. We celebrated with one of Margo's favorite meals..."pierogies and sausage" and birthday cake, then opened her presents from Mom, Dad and Clay.

On Friday, we had so much fun at a local children's museum, with lots of hands-on activities for the kids. Some of Margo Anne and Clay's favorite things to do there were painting, playing in the water, the "moon sand," climbing on the soft blocks, and playing in the delivery truck and crane.

On Saturday, our families came over, along with friends Jess, Adam and Jake to take part in Margo Anne's final birthday celebration. We had a great time visiting and the kids enjoyed the almost-warm-afternoon-weather playing in the backyard. Thank you to all--near and far--who thought of us during this fun time! We sure did miss you, PaPa!!!!

Merry Christmas to All!

We were so lucky, this holiday season, to have the opportunity to visit with and celebrate Christmas and New Years with so many of our family members and close friends. We traditionally spend Christmas Eve day with Dave's parents and his sister, Susan's family. Then, we spend the afternoon of Christmas Day with Carolyn's family and (alternate years with) her brother, Mike, and his wife, Jessica. Throughout the holiday season we always love to spend time with our "Supper Club" friends and their families, our college friends and their families, and our extended family.

Margo Anne, while a bit intimidated by Saint Nick, anxiously awaited his visit to our home this year. During our two week vacation from school, she loved to stay in her jammies all day long, discovered the books and movies...Polar Express and Charlotte's Web, and enjoyed the extra time with mom working on special "projects," such as building a gingerbread house, planting seeds on a Chia-Pet (and watching it grow) and playing outside in the mild weather.

Baby Clay was brave enough to sit on Santa's lap this year! He, too, enjoyed playing with all of his new toys, spending extra time with mom and he has now developed a passion for basketball and soccer!! He loves to play outside and go for walks down our street. If we're lucky, he'll wait for us.

We wish you all the best in 2007!

Wonderful Year One--Baby Clay in 2006

We were thrilled when our "Little Guy" joined us on November 27, 2005, two weeks early! He quickly became one of the most popular members of our family. He has been such an easy-going, happy, cuddly little fella and a joy to have in our lives. His first year has flown by so fast and we have cherished every moment with Clay. In his first year, he has reached many milestones...his smile lights up a room, he crawled for the first time during a visit to Uncle Mike and Aunt Jessica's house in late August. He walked soon after, by the time he turned eleven months old. We thought Margo Anne got into everything! Clay is very motivated to keep up with his big sister. They play "chase," dance together and wage epic battles over each other's toys. In addition, Clay loves to kick the soccer ball, look at books and scare his parents by hurling himself head-first down the slide! We are so thankful that Baby Clay is a part of our family. We look forward to watching him grow and experience new and exciting things in the world around him. Enjoy the highlights below of Baby Clay's first year. We will keep you posted throughout 2007 of his many exciting experiences to come.

The Terriffic Two's--Margo Anne in 2006

We have had so much fun with our "Sweet Baby Sunshine Supergirl," Margo Anne in 2006! She is growing up so quickly, right before our eyes, and we are so proud of her! Some of her interests during her second year have included singing & dancing (she takes tap & ballet classes), painting and anything related to nature…spotting wildlife in the woods, visiting the nature center with PaPa and making birdfeeders with Daddy. She loves to read books, go swimming and play outside with her friends in the neighborhood. Margo Anne started preschool this year and has adjusted well to her new class. One of her favorite activities at school is music class. This year she has become a big fan of Disney…Some of her favorite movies are Finding Nemo, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid and Stellaluna. Enjoy her 2006 scrapbook below. We will keep you updated as the adventures of Margo Anne continue in 2007.
