Folly Beach in October

We took a fantastic trip to Folly Beach, SC in October with Mom, Dad, Mike and Jessica. It was so nice to relax, visit with family and enjoy the beautiful beach. It had been quite a while since we had seen Mike and Jess, so we loved to have them join us! The weather was perfect and the little ones totally enjoyed playing on the beach, in the sand and in the tidal pools. We went for early-morning walks, found cool shells, watched the sunrise and sunset, enjoyed many-a-meal together and visited Charleston, where the candy store and the horse-drawn carriage ride were the biggest attractions for Margo Anne and Clay. We can't thank you enough, Tracy and Ed, for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

Autumn Photos

Here are the latest pictures of the little ones. The photographer at their pre-school has been one of the few that has been rather successful in getting them to pose together!

A New Career?

Nope! No new career for me, but I was lucky enough to be the teacher that got to sport this cool firefighter's suit. Cool might not be the right word for it, though, it was in the high 90's, so it got hot rather quickly!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year! Margo Anne had been planning to be a ballerina since her dance recital in May, so her costume was all ready for the much anticipated, big night. Her ballet shoes have now seen better days, though! What better costume for our Super Little Guy than Superman? He got a few laughs from the neighbors this year...after visiting each door, he would proceed to the front yard, plop down and say, "Eat some!?!" So, he and I had many a picnic in our neighbor's front yards, while Dave chased Margo Anne as she ran from house to house with her friends. Needless to say, we all spent the rest of the week recovering from our tiring Halloween eve!

Margo Anne...Soccer Star

Margo Anne is trying out the Under 4 Soccer League this fall. She thinks the uniform is very cool, especially the shin guards! She's not crazy about the running part, so playing keeper is just for her! We are all having a blast watching her try to figure out the game. Clay sure wishes he could be out there on the field...maybe next season, he'll be old enough to join a team!

Autumn Antics

Wow! Time sure does fly! Now that school has started back and autumn has arrived, we have been staying very busy. We have had lots of fun this fall going to parks, festivals, parades and on hikes. It is getting a little easier to pack up the kids and go now that Margo Anne is three and one-half and Clay is inching towards two, so we are taking full advantage of their adventurous ages. Just when we think we have found the perfect ages and stages, the little ones get more and more FUN. We make every effort to enjoy every moment with them.
