Summer Tumbling

Once a week over the summer, Margo Anne and Clay spent their time jumping, spinning, hopping and flipping! They took tumbling classes...and loved it! They had so much fun, and gained so much confidence, that we decided to continue the tumbling experience into the fall. At the end of the summer semester, family and friends were invited to the final class to see all the skills that the children learned and to see the medal ceremony...how fun! Grammy, PaPa, Grandma, Granddaddy, and Aunt Susan joined us to watch the little ones. Thanks for coming everyone...Margo Anne and Clay loved to have you there!

Summertime at the Zoo

We snuck in a late-summer trip to the zoo before it was back to school time. It was Clay's first visit to the zoo and both he and Margo Anne had a blast. They especially loved seeing the elephants and the new baby panda with her mommy.

Summer Fun With Family and Friends

We had such a fun summer...especially the time we spent with family and friends. Between all the supper clubs (at which I was either too busy running after little ones to take pictures...or I forgot my camera!), swim and play dates, we were always on the go!

Fun on Hilton Head Island

Well, here it is the end of July and we're just getting around to posting photos of our vacation in June! Oh, well! We had a wonderful vacation and spent some enjoyable time with Grammy and PaPa, including Father's Day at the beach. Margo Anne and Clay totally enjoyed playing in the sand, building sand castles, and finding shells on the beach. Neither were overly fond of the water on this trip...it was a bit too overwhelming for them.

We had the pleasure of meeting many new "friends" on our trip!

We love Hilton Head because there are so many fun things to do, in addition to going to the beach...

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We hope you have enjoyed spending the holiday with friends and family. We are so thankful to live in such a wonderful country and are appreciative of those who continue to make our way of life possible.

We have enjoyed our holiday very much...Margo Anne and Clay attended their first official fireworks show last night. Clay loved the display, while Margo Anne was not so fond of the loud "booms!" She watched the fireworks intently as Dave covered her ears...next year we'll remember earplugs!!!

Today, we spent a wonderful, relaxing day at Mom and Dad's house for a cookout. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for a fun day and most delicious meal!

A Visit to the Aquarium and Centennial Olympic Park

On Sunday, we had a fun outing to the Georgia Aquarium, the CNN center for lunch and then to Centennial Olympic Park to play in the fountains configured like the Olympic rings. The little ones had fun and were quite tuckered out by the end of the day!

Margo Anne's First Dance Recital

Margo Anne's "official" dance recital picture!

Well, life got the better of us since spring break in April and we seem to have fallen off the face of the Earth as far as updating our blog, but now that glorious summer is here...we're back in business!

Margo Anne had her first dance recital on Saturday, June 2 and it was a hoot! Many of these pictures were taken during the dress rehearsal due to Margo Anne being a bit star-struck and the limited dancing that took place on the actual recital day. Later, in the car, she said, "Mommy, I didn't dance on stage today...there were too many cameras!" She is not a big fan of having her picture taken. We all had a fun time, regardless, and were so happy to have a chance to visit with family and friends...Grandma and Granddaddy, cousin Sarah, Grammy and PaPa, and Ms. Holly...Thank you all for joining us on this special day!
